First Family Trip

Robert made his first plane ride over Mother's Day weekend.  We left on Thursday and came home on Monday.  His first flight was PHX to MDW, and he did great!  From Chicago, we drove to South Haven,MI.  This is where Ryan is from and I am from partly too.  (Where his Mommy and Daddy met!)  Ryan left from here to go on a golf trip, and I spent sometime with my step-mom and brother.  Then I drove with Robert to Nappanee, IN to visit my mom and step-dad.  Robert and I were then able to spend Mother's Day with Daddy in South Haven.  We had a nice dinner and followed it up with ice cream!

I was a little nervous about traveling with a baby but he seriously was perfect.  I started packing on Tuesday to ensure I had everything I needed for myself and Robert.  My OCD took over for a bit while I was prepping.  I took his cloth diapers along and that also worked out perfectly.  We did one load of laundry at my mom's house.  On the plane ride there, Robert slept the entire time.  While everyone was loading the plane I told Ryan it was like we were the black plague, nobody wanted to sit in our row.  We would have had the entire row but they loaded a couple standby passengers and the last man on took the seat by us.  :)  On our way home, it was a different story.  He was very hungry when we were loading the plane therefore he was crying.  Boy did I get the stares as I walked past everyone.  As soon as I was able to feed him, he was back to the smiling, happy baby he normally is.  Robert was awake most of the flight to PHX.  Once we landed, the man in our row said he had never seen such a great baby on a plane before and the man in the row in front of us said he didn't even know there was a baby behind him.  I was so proud of my happy little man.

Here are some pictures of our trip!
